As many know, there is an Epidemic in Ethiopia due to Diabetes and kidney failure. Tikur Ambessa, one of the leading hospitals in Addis Ababa providing health care in the capital, is teaming up with Yeabe Medical to produce a new wing in the hospital, the “Dialysis” wing that will host 30 new dialysis machines for 30 potential patients at a time. This will be a huge increase, as there is only 1 dialysis machine at the moment, for one of the biggest hospitals in the country. For more information watch the video to the right.
With the collaboration of Tigist Abebe, founder of Yeabe Medical, and Dr. Yirgu Gebrehiwot, director of Tikur Ambessa hospital, the dialysis wing at Tikur Ambessa will be the final aspiration of this combined effort.
