This page includes many of the resources our volunteers need to prepare for their trip with YEABE Please make sure you read all the documents and participate in the conference calls. If you can’t participate live, you will find links to each call on this page so that you can listen when it bests suit your schedule. Some of the information is time-sensitive, so make sure you have kept up with the emails you receive from us and ask questions if something is not clear. You will also find information specific to your team here, including cultural and public health information.
In addition to the information found on this page, your team will have a departure call to go over details of your trip and provide you with a final Q and A session. Emergency medical mission trip to Ethiopia
yeabe Medical and rehabilitations LTD,is provision and improvement of sanitation facilities, promotion of safe hygiene practices. yeabe Medical WASH work focuses on strengthening health care and nutrition intervention services’ delivery at the facility level by establishing safe water supply and sanitation infrastructures. We also conduct regular hygiene awareness to enable communities better understand the threat of communicable diarrheal and other hygiene related diseases. The GOFUNDME to the left is taking all donations to support and help those who were displaced from their homes and cities. If you are not able to
make the Mission Trip then donating would be a great way to make a difference. No donation is too small.
GETTING SUPPORT FOR THE TRIP
We believe that an important experience offered by participation in short-term medical trips is to allow others to participate with you by providing support for the team, you personally, or the cause. This can be done through funds raised for you as a participant or for the team to purchase supplies for the destination.
Yeabe medical center and rehabilitation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supported by volunteers raising money for trip participation and support of the mission of the organization. Without the support of your fundraising efforts, yeabe will be unable to meet the medical needs of the underserved throughout the world. If there are people in your network that have the ability and are willing to support yeabe beyond helping you meet the minimum fund raising requirement, yeabe would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss partnering with them.

Please Note: There is a $300 NON-refundable deposit required to hold your spot on a trip. Deposits will be applied towards your trip. Payments for half of the trip are due 12 weeks prior to departure. Final balance will be due 8 weeks prior to departure. Background checks will be done on each applicant. All applications are subject to approval.
Trip Fees include: Round trip airfare from your closest major airport, hotel in DC ( If necessary), lodging in Ethiopia, transportation, translators, 3 meals a day, large bottle of water daily, and a cultural experience.

Please Note: All departure dates are listed as leaving from Washington, DC. Depending on your originating city some participants may have to leave the day before and stay overnight in order to connect with the team in DC. Hotel is included in the airfare. Although unlikely, all trips are subject to change or cancellation. (In the event of trips cancellations refunds will be given)
